Pee Wee basketball league
The Simmons Center Pee Wee Basketball League is a developmental league that help children learn the fundamentals of the game of basketball, as well as learning to be a teammate, and the physical skills needed to play the game of basketball. The game is played 3 on 3 to give the players space to learn and develop at a faster rate, and create more opportunities to score and have fun. All teams are required to play man-to-man defense with wrist bands to designate players that are guarding each other. Officiating will be lenient to allow players to learn the flow of the game. There will be separate boy’s and girl’s divisions as followed.
Youth basketball league
Simmons Center Youth Basketball League is a competitive league. Bring your best team and lets compete for the league title. Individual players may sign up and we will try and form a team, or get game them on an existing team, however we cannot guarantee that will happen. The league will consist of an 8 game season, with a regional tournament at the end. Teams will be seeded in the tournament in accordance to their record in league play. The winners of the league will represent this region in the CBYA state tournament. Games will be played 5 on 5 on a regulation court with standard NFHS basketball rules. There will be a 20 minute running clock per half, the clock will stop the last 2 minutes of each half. There will be a boy’s and a girl’s division in the following age groups.
